Christ-Centered Worship

As a a result of viewing many churches online and attending several churches live during the pandemic of 2020, the KIT ensemble is rechristening "Sunday Worship Live!" as "Christ-Centered Worship." 

The KIT ensemble leads worship following the Levites' example or ushering the congregation into the presence of God through a variety of expressions.  

This range of interactions are designed to engage mind, body and soul throughout and beyond corporate meeting time. "Christ-Centered Worship" has four purposes:

• To emphasize that there are a variety of expressions of worship in corporate gatherings;and that music is part of worship, not THE worship;

• To educate, equip and empower the congregation to focus on Jesus the Christ as their worship guide above entertainment, denominational rites, personal traditions or musical tastes;

• To emphasize the importance of speaking Scripture during corporate gathering so the live and online participants will better connect The LORD God with what they're singing, the reasons for giving, and choices for daily living;

• To remind ensemble members leading the congregation of their responsibilities to prepare, pray and honor Christ in the assembly, and therefore de-emphasize performance anxiety or temptations to evaluate or elevate self.
